I’ve always had a way with words. As a self-proclaimed bookworm, I was a permanent fixture at the library growing up with a never-ending collection of journals. Now I channel my love for language into fun-to-read email copy for fearless entrepreneurs.
How a yarn dyer became a copywriter
My entrepreneurial journey started with an Etsy shop. I was making hand dyed yarns in my kitchen and selling them to knitters all over the world. Yep — all this started because of yarn.
After launching my shop, I became obsessed with all things online business. I learned how to build a website and even how to sell via email. I’d send out an email to my tiny list of die-hard yarn lovers and hear the cha-ching from my Etsy app letting me know I’d made a sale.
But after a few years bent over the boiling dyepots, I was burned out. I wanted to do something different, but wasn’t sure where to go next.
A chance encounter with Ash Ambirge’s website led me to copywriting — and I KNEW that was it for me. Writing email copy let me combine my passion for writing with my knack for online business to create that dream of working anywhere my computer could take me.
Now I get to help others grow their businesses while putting my B.A. in English Writing to good use.
Besides being an email-obsessed entrepreneur, I’m also an INFJ, Enneagram 5, and a Libra
I still play with yarn in my spare time. My favorite way to unwind is baking. (I’ve mastered focaccia bread and always have ingredients on hand for chocolate chip cookies.) I live in Colorado with my orange tabby Snooze.
